There are two Ivy Bridge processor engineering samples for the first exposure, which are dual-core and quad-core, respectively. The surface is etched with QAX5 and QAX2 words respectively.
Both have a clock speed of only 1.8GHz, a minimum multiplier of 13x, and a maximum of 18x (that is, a reference frequency of 100MHz). The three-level caches are 4MB and 8MB, respectively. They do not support Turbo Boost dynamic acceleration, nor do they have integrated graphics cores. Supports up to DDR3-1600 and core voltage range is 0.8-1.25V.
According to the roadmap, the 22nm Ivy Bridge will be officially released during the March-April 2012 period.
