The semiconductor lighting technology standards working group has developed two standards: power LED blank detail specification and semiconductor light-emitting diode test method. Semiconductor lighting terminology and definition, semiconductor light-emitting diode chip test method, power semiconductor light-emitting diode chip specification, low-power LED blank detail specification, semiconductor light-emitting diode product series spectrum, sapphire substrate for gallium nitride-based light-emitting diode, Standard for phosphors for semiconductor light-emitting diodes.
Research is being carried out: semiconductor light-emitting diode life test method, and radiation safety research of light-emitting diodes. Future work will focus on the performance specifications and test methods of LED modules and the development of standards for other products, such as: LED module performance specifications, test methods; performance specifications for medium and small size LED backlights; characterization and testing of chip "thermal characteristics" method.
