Cree releases LM16 LED luminaires to replace MR16 halogen lamps

CREE recently released a new LM16 LED luminaire to replace the MR16 halogen lamp. Compared with the traditional 50W MR16 halogen lamp, the luminaire has a luminous flux of 620 lumens, consumes 9W, reduces energy loss by up to 80%, and has a service life eight times that of the former. Compared to the traditional 35W halogen lamp of the same type, the LM16 consumes 7W and produces 425 lumens.

At the same time, the LM16 has a minimum runtime of 25,000 hours, saving the economic cost of frequent lamp replacement. The LM16 is suitable for three beam angles, including 17Â° spotlights, 25Â° and 40Â° floodlights, suitable for retail, hotel and residential lighting applications.
