Recently, Cree announced the launch of its commercial warm white and neutral white XLamp XP-G LEDs with color temperatures between 2600 K and 5000K.
The new XP-G LED continues Cree's highest level of light output and high efficiency for general lighting applications such as LED replacement lamps, outdoor lighting and commercial lighting.
When the drive current is 350mA, the warm white (3000K) XLamp-XP G LED has a luminous flux of 114lm and a luminous efficiency of 109lm/W. When the driving current is 1.0A, the warm white XP-G LED has a luminous flux of 285lm and a luminous efficiency of 84lm/W. Compared with the warm white XLamp XR-E LED, the light output is equivalent under the same performance. It is 4 times.
When the drive current is 350mA, the neutral white light (4000K) XLamp XP-G LED has a luminous flux of 139lm and a luminous efficiency of 132lm/W. When the drive current is 1.5A, the neutral white XP-G LED has a luminous flux of 463lm, which is four times higher than that of the cool white XLamp XR-E LED.
When XP-G LEDs are driven at high currents, performance increases, potentially reducing the number of LEDs required, downsizing, and reducing the cost of LED luminaires.
