Japan's 5,000 convenience stores plan to spend 10 billion yen to replace all LED lights

Japan's 7-Eleven Corporation has announced that it will invest 10 billion yen to replace the lighting facilities of all stores within the jurisdiction of Tokyo Electric Power Company with LED lights to cope with the shortage of power supply this summer.

It is estimated that there will be 5,000 stores. Before the summer, the store will be illuminated with LED lights, so the electricity consumption in July and September is expected to be 25% lower than the same period last year.

It is understood that the 7-Eleven part of the store in the jurisdiction of Northeast Electric Power Company will also take the same measures.
