Cree launches new cost-effective color LED lighting products

CREE has introduced a new cost-effective LED, the XLampXP-E2 color LED. This new product can increase the maximum light output by up to 88% compared to other high-power color LEDs, helping lighting manufacturers achieve cost-effective solutions in a range of applications such as building lighting, automotive lighting, and display lighting.

Cree XLampXP-E2 color LEDs are based on Cree's innovative SC technology next-generation LED platform, achieving higher lumens/watt (lm/W) and lumens/cost (lm/$) value than previous generation XP-E color LEDs The existing lighting design based on XP-E color LEDs brings lower system cost.

It is reported that XLampXP-E2 color LED also adopts XP package size (3.45mmx3.45mm), which can be compatible with the optical design based on the previous generation XP-E color LED, thus providing instant and effective performance improvement and shortening the design cycle of lighting products. To speed up the launch of products into the market.

At maximum drive current conditions, Cree's new products offer up to 1409mW of blue light, 109lm of blue light, 253lm of green light, 203lm of amber light, 193lm of red orange light and 155lm of red light. Samples of the new color LEDs are available now and are available for volume production under normal lead times.
