The first graduating class at Apple Developer Academy was born in Italy: Free tuition

Apple opened a developer college in Naples, Italy, and now the school has finally ushered in the birth of the first graduating class. Recently, Lisa Jackson, senior vice president of Apple, has taken a photo with this graduation class on a social networking site. The Developer Academy is the result of a collaboration between the University of Naples and Apple. The plan was first announced in January last year and was opened in October of the same year as Apple’s iOS application development center in Europe.

Apple will sponsor the full cost of the 9-month course, which means that students are free to enter the school. Each of them will also receive the latest MacBook, iPad and iPhone. It is open to students from all over the world and the course will be taught in English.

The college is one of the new initiatives Apple has created in recent years. Another high-profile project recently created is India's development accelerator, which was opened earlier this year. In addition, Apple also provides an introductory coding course through the new at today’s Today at Apple retail store event.

Now the first batch of graduates have graduated and look forward to bringing new blood to Apple's application development.
