Maxim introduces the MAX9613/MAX9615 low-power, high-precision, rail-to-rail input/output op amps . These op amps feature a unique self-calibration feature that corrects or eliminates offsets at any time or temperature point. The system activates the self-calibration circuit on each power-up to minimize system drift errors due to temperature gradients. This feature saves designers time and effort compared to manual system calibration, ensuring that the system meets the specified specifications. The MAX9613/MAX9615 are ideal for sensor interfaces in portable industrial and medical systems that require high precision.
Maxim's proprietary BiCMOS process and patent-pending design architecture enable these devices to deliver superior size, accuracy, bandwidth and supply current performance. The MAX9613/MAX9615 operate from a 1.8V to 5.5V supply and have a quiescent current of only 220μA (typ). Low power consumption greatly extends battery life and reduces heat dissipation, which is extremely important for portable industrial equipment. Both devices feature low offset voltage (100μV, maximum), low input bias current (1.55pA, maximum), and low voltage noise density (28nV/, typical). The MAX9613 also features a shutdown mode that further saves power. This family of op amps offers excellent RF immunity to minimize noise signal interference.
The MAX9613/MAX9615 operate over the -40°C to +125°C automotive temperature range and are available in an ultra-small (2mm x 2.2mm), 6-pin/8-pin SC70 lead-free package. Maxim also offers pin compatible devices (MAX9614/MAX9616) without self-calibration.
