Beijing, China — June 11, 2018 — NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) today announced the launch of a new FlexPod® solution in collaboration with Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO). FlexPod combines the Cisco UCS integrated infrastructure with NetApp® data services to help companies leverage trusted platforms to accelerate application delivery and transition to hybrid clouds for innovation.
This new managed private cloud solution provides customers with new usage options that can help customers more flexibly access powerful IT infrastructure and applications when building modern data centers for hybrid clouds. In addition, FlexPod Datacenter for Epic EHR, a key healthcare application, is the first product in a series of pre-tested new vertical solutions, and we will soon support more healthcare applications. FlexPod is still a platform designed to drive innovation and achieve investment protection. It integrates the latest technologies from NetApp and Cisco, and introduces new and proven solutions for the latest virtualization software, enterprise applications, and databases.
According to IDC research, NetApp and Cisco have created market-leading growth records with FlexPod, achieving double-digit year-on-year growth for five consecutive quarters.
Managed Private Cloud
The new hosted private cloud solution is built on FlexPod and helps customers implement a cloud-like as-a-service model for their internal IT. The FlexPod infrastructure is internal, but it can be managed remotely to ensure the security of critical customer data and provide advanced cloud capabilities for partners and their customers. The solution will be delivered by channel partners. The first delivery partners include Dimension Data, ePlus, Microland, and ProAct, and will further expand the scale of partners in the future.
