Intel Xeon Series Processors Exposed

Intel Xeon Series Processors Exposed Recently, the Intel Xeon Series release plan was exposed. The Intel Xeon processor series currently includes three sub-series products, E3, E5, and E7, for single-, dual-, and multi-core processor systems. The current Xeon E3 and E5 processors were released during the three months from March to May 2012. The future Xeon E3 and E5 processors will be gradually introduced, of which the E3 processor will be launched in May or June 2013, and the launch time of the E5 processor will be delayed until the first quarter of 2014. The E7 processor based on the Ivy Bridge architecture is expected to be launched in the second quarter of this year. In short, all three series of Xeon processors will adopt the updated microarchitecture in the next four quarters.

The Xeon E3-1200 processor will be based on the Haswell architecture. Therefore, it is not surprising that this processor is planned to be launched at the same time as the first Haswell processor for desktop computers. From May 27 to June 7 this year, Intel will launch 13 different E3 processors. Processing of these models of Xeon E3-1220 v3, E3-1225 v3, E3-1230 v3, E3-1240 v3, E3-1245 v3, E3-1270 v3, E3-1275 v3, E3-1280 v3, and E3-1285 v3 The device will have standard power requirements. The E3-12x5 v3 processor will use on-chip graphics capabilities. The E3-12x0 chip does not have this function. Intel will also introduce four low-power Xeon processors. The models of these processors are E3-1220L v3, E3-1230L v3, E3-1265L v3, and E3-1285L v3.

The Xeon E5-2600 v2 series processors for dual-processor servers will be available in the third quarter of 2013. These processors will be based on the Ivy Bridge-EP core. These processors will be compatible with 2011 outlets. The Xeon E5-4600 v2 processor is used for the same socket but supports 4-way processing and will be available in the first quarter of 2014. In the first quarter of 2014, Intel will introduce the E5-2400 v2 "Ivy Bridge-EN" microprocessor for the 1356 socket.

The second-generation Xeon E7 processor is currently scheduled for launch in the fourth quarter of 2013.
