Document beauty? Word background can be set up like this

The first thing that people think of when they mention color schemes is PPT. In fact, DOC documents also need “beauty”. Although Word and PowerPoint share Office's common color scheme tools, DOC is mainly text-based, and PPT is demo-based. The two are different. Let's take a look at how to match colors in Word to make readers enjoyable.

Built-in themes to quickly generate multicolored documents

Office color schemes are collectively referred to as "themes." Multiple sets of themes have been built into Word (2013 for this example), but it is very strange that, although this feature is extremely easy to use, a large percentage of users overlook its use.

Open the document that needs beautification in Word, and then switch to the "Design" tab, click on the arrow button in the bottom right corner of the "Document Format" toolbar to open a list, which has built a variety of styles, cursor over, will automatically preview the style effect , the click will automatically apply to the document (Figure 1). At this point, click “Theme” on the toolbar, multiple built-in theme programs will be displayed, and you can select your favorite click confirmation. At this point, you will find that different themes are not only different in the fonts, but also the colors will change (Figure 2). Only need to make a simple choice, we can quickly achieve a colorful and beautiful document.

Tip: Deepen the theme color

The built-in theme is easy to use, but the color matching doesn't necessarily fit your mind. At this time, we can adjust the colors ourselves. Still in the "Design" tab, click the "Color" button in the toolbar, click on the "Custom Color" below from the pop-up menu, open the New Theme Color window, where you can use different elements in the document, such as the title , links, text, etc. are replaced with any of your favorite colors (Figure 3).

Alternative setting Word document background color

When beautifying Word documents, many people ignore the setting of the background color. In fact, setting the background color not only enhances the appearance but also effectively prevents eye fatigue. Click on the "Page Color" button in the toolbar to quickly set a background color for the document from the pop-up list.

If instead of selecting a single color, click on the “filling effect” below, you can open a dialog to further set the gradient, texture, pattern, and even the background of the page background (Figure 4). Switch to the "Pictures" tab, click on "Select Picture" and select a picture from the online library or the local machine. After confirming, the picture can be used as a background. In this case, the author chose a picture of a flower with a large anti-color color as background, which is very different from the original plain page (Figure 5).

However, the image background set by the above method may be too strong and dilute the text. There are two ways to solve this problem. One is to reduce the transparency of the image first in other image processing software (such as Photoshop), and the other is to insert the background image as a watermark. Click the "Watermark" button in the toolbar, click on the "Custom Watermark" at the bottom of the open list, then select the "Image Watermark" item in the open dialog box, and then click the "Select Image" button to select the image to be the background , and cancel the "washing" item selection, you can determine (Figure 6). If the picture fails to cover the entire background, you can adjust the zoom ratio appropriately so that the background is slightly different from the above (Figure 7).

Tip: Save the theme plan

If you are satisfied with the theme scheme you have modified, you can save it for future reuse. On the "Design" tab, click on "Subject". Under the list that opens, click "Save Current Topic" to save it as a theme file with the suffix thmx.

Use PowerPoint to enhance Word charts

The form inserted in the Word document needs a separate color, insert a form and then switch to the "design" tab, click on the arrow button in the lower right corner of the "table form", you can select in a large list of styles (Figure 8).

However, there is less “effect” setting in Word table design than PowerPoint. If you make a table in advance in PowerPoint and copy and paste it directly into Word, the effect of all settings will be lost on your own. Therefore, if you want to implement three-dimensional, reflective, and other special effects in Word, you need to use a slightly different approach.

In Word, switch to the "Insert" tab and click "Objects" on the toolbar. In the dialog that opens, select Insert "Microsoft Office PowerPoint Slides" object. After selecting this object, Word will automatically embed the PowerPoint menu, insert a table in it, and then switch to the "Design" tab, click the "Effect" toolbar, select the special effects you want (Figure 9).

After configuring the colors and special effects, click anywhere on the form to automatically return to the Word interface. At this point, you can see the specific effects of the form (Figure 10).

Tip: Word window's own color

Not only the document can be beautified, Word's own window also has a color scheme. Click "File → Options" to open the Word Options window, select "General" on the left, find "Office Themes" on the right, click on the drop-down button to the right of it, you can choose white, light gray or dark gray program, determine the Word's window The color will change with it (Figure 11).
