This year, OLEDs are relatively more mature on the large-scale end. The 88-inch 8K OLED screen developed by LG Display broke through the short board of the OLED screen on the high-resolution, large-size panel.

In addition to the steady advancement of OLEDs, MicroLED has also officially emerged on this year's civilian television.

As we all know, the OLED screen cancels the backlight of the LCD screen and a layer of “color screen” structure, so it can make great progress on the screen thickness, light and dark details. The main structure is that a layer of organic material is sandwiched between two glass substrates, and dots on the film can self-regulate light illumination and color.

And MicroLED is to replace this layer of organic material film with a neat array of LED light bulbs, can overcome the current OLED overall brightness problems, short life points of pain, but also can further reduce power consumption, color saturation and enhance the ultra-high Resolution display yield.

The Wall MicroLED TV launched by Samsung is 146 inches. The official said that the product will support a modular design and can be used for multiple screens. Although not revealing more details of the product, Samsung's standing on the opposite side of the OLED, QD TV backlighting, and the strategy of developing the Micro LED have become very clear.

TV format is expected to change

The original home TV was a square box. However, with the maturity of plasma and liquid crystal technology, traditional "big ass" CRT TVs have been eliminated and TV products have been filmed flat in front of people. A new round of television changes is taking place.

Last year, Sony introduced the A1 to make people realize that TV does not need an extra speaker. It can also be used as a vibration source through the screen. On the eve of CES this year, both South Korean home appliance giants added AI elements to their home appliances.
